GPS Speedometer: Custom Alert

Terms of Use

Effective date: August 16, 2026 · Operator: devbears · App identifier: com.devbears.gpsspeedometer

These Terms govern the use of the GPS Speedometer application provided by devbears and describe the rights and responsibilities of the Operator and users.

1. The Service

The App provides GPS-based live speed display, a mirrored windshield HUD, km/h and mph units, and alerts based on a speed threshold set directly by the user. The App does not automatically detect posted speed limits and does not provide navigation, route guidance, or certified measurement services.

2. Safe Use

Important: All measurements displayed by the App are for reference only. Always follow your vehicle's official speedometer, traffic signs, and applicable law. Never operate a device while driving or moving.

GPS accuracy may vary depending on the device, operating system, satellite signal, buildings, tunnels, weather, and other conditions. A speed alert reflects only the threshold entered by the user; it is not a posted speed limit, and alerts may be delayed or missed.

3. User Responsibilities

Users must comply with applicable law and safety rules and must not use the App for unlawful activity or to infringe the rights of others. Users must not interfere with the normal operation of the App or advertising systems or modify, redistribute, or analyze them without authorization, except where applicable law permits legitimate activities such as interoperability research.

4. Advertising

The Operator may introduce Google AdMob advertising in a manner that does not unreasonably interfere with the App's core speed measurement features. Advertisers or third-party providers are responsible for their advertisements and linked services. Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Changes and Availability

The Operator may change or discontinue App features to improve quality or security or to comply with legal and platform-policy changes. Material changes will be announced in advance through a reasonable method when practicable. Urgent security changes may be announced afterward.

6. Intellectual Property

The App and its related content belong to the Operator or their respective rights holders. These Terms grant only a personal, limited, non-exclusive right to use the App and do not transfer ownership.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for loss caused by GPS, network, or operating-system failures, user settings or actions, or third-party services unless caused by the Operator's willful misconduct or gross negligence. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Changes to These Terms

The Operator may amend these Terms in compliance with applicable law and will publish the effective date and a summary of material reasons before changes take effect. Material changes that disadvantage users will also be announced through a reasonable additional method, such as an in-App notice.

9. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The parties will first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith discussion. Unresolved disputes will be submitted to a court with jurisdiction under applicable law. These Terms do not exclude any mandatory consumer protection available to the user.
